[背景介绍]

《天下一家》（《We Are The World》）是迈克尔·杰克逊和莱昂纳尔·里奇作曲、迈克尔杰克逊作词的歌曲。1985年1月28日，全美音乐奖颁奖典礼结束后，迈克尔·杰克逊、莱昂纳尔·里奇等美国45位歌手联合演唱了该首歌曲。歌曲于1985年3月7日通过哥伦比亚唱片公司发布。

歌曲于1985年4月13日登上公告牌百强单曲榜榜首，连续停留了四周。1986年2月25日，歌曲获得第28届格莱美奖“年度制作”、“年度歌曲”、“最佳短篇音乐录影带”、“最佳流行合作表演”四项大奖。该首歌曲最终为非洲筹集了至少6000万美元的慈善捐款。《We Are The World》后，越来越多的人通过流行歌曲的形式来传播人道主义。

1984年，英国歌手菲尔·科林斯和鲍勃·格尔多夫召集了十余位歌手录制了歌曲《Do they know it's Christmas》，为非洲饥民筹集了许多善款。英国歌坛的此项义举打动了美国歌手哈里·贝拉方特，他认为美国人也不能落后，这一想法得到了许多人的支持。当时，埃塞俄比亚和苏丹的食物短缺、人民挨饿的消息同时也震惊了迈克尔· 杰克逊和莱昂内尔·里奇，两人认为自己该做点什么。于是他们合写了这首歌曲。两人费了四天的时间写作曲，里奇先完成一部分，杰克逊看到后灵感大发，一夜之间就把全曲写好。之后杰克逊又花了两个半小时作词。
