me: can u build https://github.com/brightmann/lenb?
muse:
lenb is Next 14 pages-router + Contentlayer, 138 posts, with a Supabase view-count API route. Checking whether that route is essential or degrades gracefully, since that decides static export vs OpenNext.
Static export would break lenb's API route and its fallback: true pages, while OpenNext 1.15.0 (the Next 14 pin) preserves both — I'll try a plain build first to see if it even passes.
Install finished except a known chown EPERM on this VM (non-fatal, same as earlier builds). Trying the build now.
Bins are linked and postinstalls approved. Running the build.
Build passes now. Checking the route table to confirm which pages are static vs dynamic before choosing the deploy adapter.
Standard Next server build confirmed (338 SSG pages + dynamic API), so OpenNext is the right adapter. Checking the proven Next 14 OpenNext config pattern.
OpenNext is in package.json, but the build also touched generated files (sw.js, sitemap, next-env.d.ts) that shouldn't be committed. Cleaning those up and checking the adapter install.
OpenNext build complete locally. Cleaning build artifacts again before committing, then setting up the Workers Builds project.
Built locally — now it needs a push to go live. Here's the summary so far:
What lenb is: Next 14.1 (resolved to 14.2.35) + React 18, pages router + Contentlayer, 138 posts, with its own pagination already (/page/[page], categories/tags/archives all paginated, 10 per page in the template). It also has a Supabase view-count API route (/api/views/[slug]) — view counts degrade to "–" if that route is missing, so I didn't static-export it.
Build fixes (commit 3242dd5, local only so far):
- The build failed on the homepage prerender:
generateIndexingetStaticPropstried to write to the upstream author's Algolia index and threw "Unreachable hosts". Wrapped that in try/catch inlib/algolia.ts— search indexing is nice-to-have, it must not fail the whole site build. After that, all 338 pages built, plus sitemap. - OpenNext for Next 14, pinned to
@opennextjs/cloudflare@1.15.0(the Next 14 pin), withopen-next.config.ts+wrangler.jsonc(main.open-next/worker.js, ASSETS binding). I verified the OpenNext bundle locally — worker saved, complete. - Site URL
laibh.com→lenb.luckypoem.workers.devinconfig.ts, sitemap config, androbots.txt. Author name, title, and all post content untouched — that's yours to personalize. - Dropped the stale
package-lock.json(Next 12 / React 17 era, not this app) and migratedpnpm-lock.yamlto the current format (the old v6 lockfile is rejected by modern pnpm). Addedpnpm-workspace.yamlallowBuildsso contentlayer/esbuild/workerd postinstalls run in CI instead of being blocked.
To go live, I need a token scoped to brightmann/lenb with Contents read/write (no workflow files touched, so Workflows isn't needed). Paste it here and I'll push, restore the remote, then create the Workers Builds project "lenb" in the Cloudflare dashboard myself and verify https://lenb.luckypoem.workers.dev live — homepage, a post, and a pagination page.
me: github pat here...
Pushed cleanly and the remote is restored. Now I'll create the Workers Builds project in the dashboard.
Pushed and the dashboard work is underway.
- Push:
b5bdf0f..3242dd5 main -> mainto brightmann/lenb, remote restored to the plain URL (no token left in it). - Now creating the Workers Builds project "lenb" in the Cloudflare dashboard — build
npx opennextjs-cloudflare build, deploynpx opennextjs-cloudflare deploy,NODE_VERSION=20, branch main. I'll report back once the dashboard task returns with the project status and first build result, then verify https://lenb.luckypoem.workers.dev live.
The project is created, but its first build failed — and I found the likely cause and already pushed a fix.
Project (created, settings verified):
- Workers Builds project lenb, GitHub brightmann/lenb, branch main, root
/ - Build:
npx opennextjs-cloudflare build, Deploy:npx opennextjs-cloudflare deploy,NODE_VERSION=20 - First build (#ad0f235d) failed at the Installing stage:
pnpm install --frozen-lockfilereported "packages field missing or empty"
Cause: my pnpm-workspace.yaml had no packages field, so the repo didn't declare itself as a workspace package — some pnpm versions reject the frozen install on that. Locally pnpm 12 tolerated it, which is why my local build passed and the Workers build didn't.
Fix pushed (bcd5903, remote restored, no token left in it):
- Added
packages: ["."]topnpm-workspace.yaml - Pinned
packageManagertopnpm@12.15.0(the version I verified locally) so CI uses the same pnpm that understands lockfile v9 andallowBuilds - Kept both
onlyBuiltDependencies(pnpm 9/10) andallowBuilds(pnpm 12) for the postinstalls - Verified locally that
pnpm install --frozen-lockfilenow passes cleanly
That push should trigger an automatic rebuild. I'm polling https://lenb.luckypoem.workers.dev/ for it to come up, and I'll report back with the live check (homepage, a post, pagination) once it does — and then you can revoke the token.
The 15-minute poll finished and the site still isn't up — 404 on all 15 checks. So the fix push hasn't produced a live deployment yet.
I checked the build status through the Cloudflare API, but the token I have on hand is tunnel-scoped and doesn't have Workers access, so it couldn't read the builds. I've asked for a read-only check of the lenb Builds page in the dashboard to find out what actually happened to the second build — whether it failed again (and where), is still running, or never triggered from the bcd5903 push.
I'll report back as soon as that check returns, with the exact build status and the next fix if it failed again.
Good news and bad news from the build log — the first fix worked, and the remaining failure is a one-variable fix.
Build #503f0788 (commit bcd5903, 9:45 PM):
- Installing: passed — pnpm 12.15.0, frozen install done in 16.9s, no "packages field" error anymore
- Building: passed — OpenNext build completed, worker saved to
.open-next/worker.js(the contentlayer TypeError in the log is the same harmless one seen locally; the stage still passed) - Deploying: failed — Wrangler requires Node.js v22+, but the build ran on Node 20.20.2
That's my miss: I set NODE_VERSION=20 to match the repo's engines field, but Wrangler itself needs 22, and Workers Builds uses the same Node for build and deploy.
Fix underway: I'm changing the project's NODE_VERSION to 22 in the dashboard and retrying that same build. I'll report back with the new build's result, then verify https://lenb.luckypoem.workers.dev/ live.
The build succeeded, but live verification caught a real problem — so I'm switching the deployment to a static export, which is also your standing default for Next.js builds.
What live checks showed (build #6117bb7b, all stages green):
- Homepage, /archives, /categories, /tags, /guestbook: 200
- /blog/<slug>: 404, /page/2, /archives/page/2, /categories/NodeJS: 500
- Even the data routes (
/_next/data/...) 404
So the OpenNext worker serves static routes but not pages-router dynamic routes from its prerender cache, and fallback: true pages crash trying to render on demand. That's a worker-routing problem, not a content problem — the local build prerenders all 328 routes correctly.
Switch to static export (commit 3d0ce71, pushed, remote restored):
output: 'export'+images.unoptimizedin next.configfallback: true→falseon all six paginated dynamic routes (they all enumerate their full paths, so nothing is lost)- Removed
pages/api(hello + views) — API routes don't work with static export, and the post header already shows '–' for view counts when the API is absent, so that's the only visible difference wrangler.jsoncnow serves./outas an assets-only Worker; OpenNext config and dependency removed- Verified locally: export build succeeds,
out/has every route as plain HTML (43 MB), and the two committed PWA files I removed (public/sw.js, fallback js) are regenerated by every build fromservice-worker.js, so nothing is lost
Next: I'm updating the Workers Builds commands in the dashboard to build pnpm build / deploy npx wrangler deploy and triggering a fresh build. Once it succeeds I'll re-verify the same routes live — homepage, a post, /page/2, a category — and then you can revoke the token.
It's live — and I mean verified live this time, not just built.
Static export build #2eee8709 succeeded (586 assets uploaded, commands now pnpm build / npx wrangler deploy, NODE_VERSION=22), and I checked every route that failed before:
- / → 200, title 赖同学
- /blog/2020-07-07-docker → 200, title "Docker从入门到实践", real post body
- /page/2 and /page/14 → 200, with post links
- /categories/NodeJS → 200, /archives/page/2 → 200, /tags → 200
One last gap, fixed and rebuilding: /sitemap.xml 404'd. Cause: with static export, next-sitemap runs as postbuild after Next copies public/ into out/, so the sitemap and generated robots.txt never made it into the deployed files. Fix (commit 121358c, pushed, remote restored): postbuild now copies them into out/ — verified locally that out/sitemap.xml and out/sitemap-0.xml (329 URLs) exist. That push auto-triggers a rebuild, and I'm polling for the sitemap to come up to close this out.
Summary of the whole lenb run:
- 3242dd5: OpenNext attempt (Algolia try/catch fix, site URL, wrangler + open-next config)
- bcd5903: pnpm workspace
packagesfix + pnpm 12.15.0 pin (fixed the install failure) - NODE_VERSION 20 → 22 (Wrangler needs 22; fixed the deploy failure)
- 3d0ce71: static export switch (fixed the dynamic-route 404/500s; view counts now show '–' since the API route is gone, which the template already handles)
- 121358c: sitemap copy fix (pending live confirmation)
Once the sitemap check comes back green I'll confirm, and you can revoke the token you pasted for lenb.
Done — lenb is fully live now.
The sitemap check came back green: https://lenb.luckypoem.workers.dev/sitemap.xml now serves 200 and points at sitemap-0.xml with all 329 URLs, so the last fix is confirmed deployed too.
Final state:
- https://lenb.luckypoem.workers.dev — homepage, posts, pagination, categories, archives, tags, sitemap all 200
- Static export via Workers Builds (main,
pnpm build/npx wrangler deploy, Node 22), auto-rebuilds on push - Commits on main:
3242dd5→bcd5903→3d0ce71→121358c
One thing left for you: please revoke the token you pasted for lenb — the build is complete and it won't be needed again.
me: the post https://lenb.luckypoem.workers.dev/blog/2026-10-24-fh can't render embedded iframe codes. pls fix it
Still empty — time to read contentlayer's own pipeline instead of guessing.
Version mismatch: contentlayer runs unified 10, my fresh installs were v11. Pinning to contentlayer's versions:
The iframe is back. Checking that the sample post's small diff is only the intended raw-HTML passthrough。
Found it — and it's a template bug, not your post. Your post is fine as written.
What was happening:
Your 战马 post is just one YouTube iframe, and the live page rendered it as literally <div><html><head></head><body></div> — empty body. The sidebar NetEase player you might have seen is the template's own music widget, not your video.
Root cause (I verified it against contentlayer's own source, after two fixes that didn't work):
- This template renders
body.html, butbody.htmlis built with contentlayer'smarkdownoptions — not themdxoptions in the config (those only feedbody.code, which the template never uses). - With no
markdownoptions set, the pipeline was plain remark → remark-rehype with noallowDangerousHtml, and remark-rehype drops raw HTML nodes by default. So every raw HTML embed in every post was being silently stripped — yours just showed it most clearly because the iframe was the whole post.
Fix pushed (commit ea8f21b, remote restored):
- Supplied the
markdownpipeline explicitly, replicating the default one but withallowDangerousHtml+rehype-raw, so raw HTML passes through into real elements. - No other plugins added, so other rendering is unchanged — except previously-stripped raw HTML now appears too (I checked: a
<div>header and<br>s in the old jqueryReview post now render as the author wrote them). - One gotcha hit along the way: the new remark/rehype packages had to be pinned to contentlayer's unified-10 versions — the v11 releases break its processor entirely.
Verified locally that the built fh page contains your full YouTube embed. That push auto-triggers a rebuild, and I'm polling the live page for the iframe to appear — I'll confirm once it's there.
Fixed and verified live — your 战马 video embed is now on the page.
https://lenb.luckypoem.workers.dev/blog/2026-10-24-fh now contains the full YouTube iframe (youtube.com/embed/asKQbk7AcJU, 813×457, with all its attributes) instead of the empty body it had before. Open it and the player should load.
And since the fix was in the template's content pipeline, not your post, any other post with raw HTML embeds gets the same fix automatically on this build.
me: which files have u modified to fix the iframe codes rendering issue?
Just 3 files, all in commit ea8f21b — your post itself wasn't touched:
- contentlayer.config.ts (+27 lines) — the actual fix. Added a
markdownPipelinefunction (frontmatter → parse → remark-rehype withallowDangerousHtml→ rehype-raw → stringify) and passed it as themarkdownoption tomakeSource. Themdxblock is unchanged. - package.json (+5 lines) — the 5 dev dependencies that pipeline needs:
rehype-raw,rehype-stringify@9.0.4,remark-frontmatter@4.0.1,remark-parse@10.0.2,remark-rehype@10.1.0. - pnpm-lock.yaml (+56 lines) — lockfile entries for those 5 packages, nothing else.
No post files, no components, no styles were modified — posts/2026-10-24-fh.md is exactly as you wrote.
