Where does the name come from?

From Wikipedia: Persepolis (Greek: Περσέπολις Persépolis; "the Persian city") or Parsa (Old Persian: 𐎱𐎠𐎼𐎿 Pārsa; "Persia"), also known as Takht-e-Jamshid (Persian: تخت جمشيد‎‎ Taxt e Jamšid; "Throne of Jamshid"), was the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire (ca. 550–330 BC). Persepolis is situated 60 km northeast of the city of Shiraz in Fars Province, Iran. The earliest remains of Persepolis date back to 515 BC. It exemplifies the Achaemenid style of architecture. UNESCO declared the ruins of Persepolis a World Heritage Site in 1979.

Persepolis is a libre software (GNU GPLv3), internet download manager GUI using aria2 as the backend. It's user-friendly to replace proprietary IDM because Persepolis supports integration to browsers such as Chrome, Vivaldi, Firefox and Opera. It supports protocols such as HTTP / HTTPS, FTP, SFTP, BitTorrent, and Metalink. Featured with themes, multi-threaded download, download queuing, multi-protocol support, BitTorrent client, finding and downloading video from online video sharing websites and remote access without system resources consumed. Persepolis supports scheduling and bulk downloading as well.
