Right click “Application”, select “Edit Menu”, select “System
Tools–>Configuration” in the main menu,then u can use the System
Tools in the Applications main now. Open “Configuration Editor”, under
“/apps/gedit-2/preferences/encodings”, on the right side, double click
“auto_detected”, add a new value “GB2312″ and up to the top, do the same
thing in “show_in_menu”. restart ur gedit。
